All shows include open captions above the stage, ASL Interpreting and reserved seats for Deaf/HH audience members and their companions, and audio description through headsets.

Detour Fall Auditions
September 5th, 4-7pm

We are casting for two shows! Bye Bye Birdie (our mainstage show) and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (our traveling show).

Auditions for both shows will happen at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 2310 N. 56th St., Phoenix, AZ 85201. Park or get dropped off in the north parking lot. Auditions will be in Frederickson Hall.

Auditions are a chance to bond with your castmates, practice for the shows, and demonstrate courage by performing something short for everyone. We are all here to support you while you audition and everyone who auditions will be cast in a show.

Please come to auditions if you would like to involved in either show in any way (acting, coaching, costuming, set building). Everyone is welcome!

Sign Up For Our Creative Drama Class!
Join us for a fun, creative class where we explore lesser-known parts of the theatrical world. Detour actors and coaches, new and old, are ALL welcome! Creative Drama will be taught by Andrea and Simon with guest teachers who lead for a few classes on specific topics (like improv, acting in masks, comedy, and physical theatre),
Creative Drama is also the space for actors and coaches who want leadership experience and to practice their leadership skills in a safe space. If you are interested in leading classes, games, or exercises during Creative Drama, please let us know on the sign up form!
Class Schedule
 Classes are every Monday from 4-5:30pm in person.
First Class – September 9th 4-5:30pm
Last Class – December 2nd 4-5:30pm
Creative Drama Revue (showcase) – December 6th at 7pm!
